"As a long time professional equestrian, national champion competitor & working stuntwoman for TV & film, it is my goal to help better educate & inform our performers on the skills, time, energy, and dedication that it takes to become a well rounded and experienced horse specialist. My goal is to raise awareness around the misconceived over-simplification of horse work & riding on camera, as well as introduce performers to the skill set with respect towards the dedication, courage, stamina, and seat time that it requires to become a master. Similar to long time martial artists, racecar drivers, and high fall specialists, we are participating in both an artform & a dangerous athletic performance, but unlike any other. We require & ask for the open communication & partnership of a 1200lb+ animal that has it's own opinion, mood, and experiences. It takes cooperation, patience, and compassion to get the top performance from our partners, and their safety must be of the upmost importance!"
